Bottled up mandalas
The lesser known fact about mandalas is that they were spiritual/sacred tools and were found in religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. The core point of a mandala was finding peace in symmetry of the design and the universe, and the evolved / simplified / modern mandala art stays true to that. The beauty of mandala art is that it can be as simple or as elaborate as you want it to be. So for someone like me that lacks the skill of drawing, rudimentary mandala art - that's primarily formed by dots- is a Godsend that makes me feel like I can be artistic as well.
An impulse buy of Kombucha led to a pleasant surprise with the bottle having an inlaid message that read "Follow Your Gut". I loved the message so much that I couldn't bring myself to discard it, and figured something had to be done with the bottle, which led to my first venture into mandala art.
The moral of the story here is that impulse buys are good :-) Gotcha😎
